Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin said that it would be legally difficult to take away London mansions belonging to Russian citizens, despite threats from the authorities of the United Kingdom. He stated this on the air of the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live"

"In reality, I think it will not work to take away mansions, because there is a lot of legal support for each of these transactions," Kelin said. According to him, those who try to do this, "will face enormous difficulties."

Earlier, the British authorities gave themselves the authority to detain Russian vessels. According to the British Foreign Ministry, now Russian ships will be banned in British ports after a new package of sanctions against Moscow. According to the new law, the ban will apply to all vessels owned or operated by someone connected with Russia, the ministry explained.
