Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to send materials to the Main Military Prosecutor's Office for a legal assessment of the actions and punishment of officials responsible for non-compliance with his instructions on the ban on sending conscripts to Ukraine. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports.

He said that before the start of the special operation, Putin's instruction was brought to all the commanders of the Armed Forces units to categorically exclude the involvement of conscripts to perform any tasks on the territory of Ukraine. "President Putin was informed about the implementation of this instruction," Peskov added.

However, when it became known about the presence of Russian conscripts in Ukraine, Putin instructed to send the relevant materials to the prosecutor's office for verification, legal assessment of the actions and punishment of the perpetrators, the press secretary of the president concluded.
